To your point many people try to keep people away with malicious/perverse/disgusting SSID descriptions. You might say they are "entertaining" or simply "whimsical" but the reality is that said owner of "entertaining wireless access point" probably doesn't want you sucking up their bandwidth or competing with their illegal warez downloads. Most likely this person is hold up in their domicile, and have been for some time, dying for some human interaction -- but only the virtual kind. If they did get out -- say a local coffee shop -- they'd probably realize the intrinsic need for more bandwidth and would realize how infantile their SSID of "stinky p*$$y" actually is -- or it's a warning not to come knocking on her door. Either way, I won't be getting onto her network .....

UN-BE-FREAKIN-LIEVABLE!

I attended Ignite Boulder in Oct 2008 and when they said "Hine" I thought... hey, I knew a Charley Hine... or more appropriately I know a Henry Hine and used to wrestle with high school hockey parents with him! Oh, and I remembered that Charley and I exchanged several emails while I was taking over the domain to get the site for the league cleaned up. And low and behold IT WAS YOU! Amazing! What a little world we live in. I'll look you up at the next Ignite Boulder! AMAZING!

Ok, I'm going to risk sounding really old. If the 90s were a decade of 'not careing' then what were the 80s? Yes, I admit the spandex, big hair, and such take the forefront of what people think of when they consider the 80s but if you want to talk about 'not caring' then the 80s generation created it. It was a generation of gimme gimme gimme where the 'to hell with everyone else' was king. After all, all we cared about was Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll....at least that's all I remember. :)

In all, its good to see that some things never change. See you at Ignite!
